Deer + Almond

deer + almond, Winnipeg, Canada

Deer + Almond is a staple of the Exchange District, a trendsetting restaurant that’s found its way into the top 100 restaurants in Canada more than a couple times. With a focus on transforming seasonal and local ingredients, it’s a place worth visiting and revisiting for something new.

Their tasting menu is well worth the $77 per person price tag, which includes 4 dishes per person. When I last visited, we also got an amuse bouche, though I’m not sure if this is always the case. Try their venison carpaccio; it’s the embodiment of the restaurant.
